The Strangest Dream

November 11, 2009

In honour of Remembrance Day today, a video of Alex, singing at the Remembrance Day Service at St. Andrew’s on Sunday.

The Strangest Dream

Last night I had the strangest dream

I’d never dreamed before,

I dreamed the world had all agreed

To put an end to war.

I dreamed I saw a mighty room

Filled with women and men

And the paper they were signing said

They’d never fight again.

And when the paper was all signed,

And a million copies made,

They all joined hands and bowed their head

And grateful prayers were prayed.

And the people in the streets below

Were dancing round and round,

While swords and guns and uniforms

Were scattered on the ground.

Last night I had the strangest dream

I’d never dreamed before,

I dreamed the world had all agreed

To put an end to war.

  1. Em, Mike, Phinn, Uncle Stephen & Aunt Kathy Says:

Great job, Alex! We all just congregated at Kathy & Stephen’s after our respective ceremonies, and were very impressed with Alex’s song. Uncle Stephen was extra impressed that Alex could remember all those words. Keep it up!

    Hugs & kisses.
